Terms and conditions...
- Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Customer agrees to pay for the services set out in the documentation between WheelKraft and the Customer.
- It is the Customer's responsibility to check that their requirements are correctly stated on the Order Form and to bring any errors or amendments to our attention prior to work being booked in.
- There is nothing in these Terms and Conditions that excludes or limits WheelKraft's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. However, WheelKraft shall not be liable for any direct loss or damage suffered by you, however caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract or otherwise in excess of the price paid for the service.
- WheelKraft accept no responsibility for the transport of wheels delivered and/or collected by courier; customers should ensure that any courier they use is adequately insured (any courier engaged by WheelKraft will have adequate insurance).
- WheelKraft will endeavour to refurbish all wheels to the best of our ability but cannot be held responsible for unforeseen problems such as poor castings or excessive corrosion. These problems are sometimes only apparent when the old finish has been removed. The Customer will be advised as to the suitability of various finishes, as some finishes (particularly the high gloss ones) tend to highlight blemishes in the wheels.
- Split rims are undertaken entirely at the customer's discretion and responsibility as to the suitability of the refurbishment process. Please check with the manufacturer first as to the suitability of your wheels for this type of process as it varies between manufacturers. Should WheelKraft split down the wheels and wheel bolts have to be replaced, the cost of these will be passed on to the Customer. The Customer needs to be aware that in some split rims, the wheel bolts have to be drilled out due to corrosion and again there will be an additional cost for this service. The Customer will be informed before we carry out any such work.
- Wheels which are classed as "in very poor condition" upon delivery could be subject to an additional cost to cover the extra labour required to refurbish such wheels; customers will be informed before any work commences.
- WheelKraft offer a one year guarantee on powder coated alloys, provided the aftercare advice given is followed (i.e. no chemicals or abrasives) and that the vehicle has not been used "off road" or the wheels damaged in an accident. WheelKraft will assess the wheels in those circumstances and at their sole discretion decide whether to repair or offer a refund and this decision shall be final.
- Any claims made under the Guarantee will be settled by free reworking or (at the manager's discretion) a refund of the relevant part of the invoice (i.e. if one wheel is affected, then the price of one wheel would be refunded.) The maximum refund would be limited to the original invoice value and WheelKraft shall not be held responsible for any consequential loss as a result of the repair. Customers must ensure that they keep their receipt as it will be required when making a claim. This does not affect the Customer's Statutory Rights.
- These Terms and Conditions are subject to English Law and English Courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising.
- It is the Customer's sole responsibility to check the condition of refurbished wheels on collection.
- We can remove and refit tyres at a cost of £20.00 per set. Illegal/damaged tyres will not be refitted and the customer will be advised. Replacement tyres can be sourced upon request, or we can fit the Customer's own replacements.
- We do recommend that new valves be fitted to wheels that have had their tyres removed and replaced.
- Wheels not collected after three weeks, if unpaid, will be sold to recoup costs incurred.
- Wheels will not be released until payment has been made in full. All prices mentioned are plus VAT @ the prevailing UK rate.
- Trade Accounts that are held with WheelKraft are based on a strict 30 day payment term and can be closed at WheelKraft's discretion without prior notice.
- For customers that do not hold an account with WheelKraft, a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 will be taken when the order is placed, and the balance will be due on completion of the refurbishment.
- Any complaints should be sent by letter or email within 48 hours of the customer collecting the wheels; please contact the Production Manager.
- We shall not be liable for any failure to carry out our obligations to the Customer where such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to Act of God, War, Civil Disturbance, Fire, Flood, Lightning, Industrial Action, the act or omission of Third Parties for whom we are not responsible, including the Government and its agents.
- We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time and the Customer will be issued with and subject to the Terms in force at the time of their Order to WheelKraft.
